GUIDELINES: POSTERS
Presenter guidelines for poster presentations

Poster presentations are organized in poster sessions. Each session is scheduled on a specific day and has two viewing times, morning and afternoon. Presenting authors are encouraged to stay next to their poster during their sessions viewing times.

Authors are kindly asked to put up their posters on the day the specific poster session is scheduled between 08:00–08:30 in order to enable the conference participants to view their posters at any time on the display day. Authors are then asked to take down their posters between 18:30 and 19:00. After this time, the remaining posters will be removed by the conference staff.

Poster boards

Poster boards are in portrait format, and posters should not be larger than A0 size, portrait. All the material necessary for attaching the poster to the poster board is available at the facility desk in the hall.

Poster number

The number of each poster paper is given in the session programme. Your poster should be fixed on the poster board showing the same number.

Oral summaries of posters

Authors of poster papers should be prepared to provide ad hoc a summary of their poster presentation (1–2 slides) during the corresponding oral session in case a gap should occur in the time schedule or if the convener has foreseen the presentation of poster summaries during the oral session.

Poster printing service

IWAGPR-2021 will provide a poster printing service. Attendees who wish to have their posters printed must effect payment and send the pdf of the poster (geolab-geo.sci@um.edu.mt) by not later than 10th June. Posters may be collected at the registration desk.

The LOC can also assist with on-site printing needs but at least 24 hours are needed for on-site orders.

The cost for poster printing is 35€. Posters will be printed on coated paper in A0 format.

Restrictions

It is strictly prohibited to take photos of any scientific material during oral or poster sessions without the explicit permission from the authors.
